Hi I am so glad I have found this forum where people want to keep the memory of Bartley alive. Now a bit about me I live in Wales I am closely related to Bartley but through unfortunate events my family moved and we all lost touch.I do have some lovely childhood memories of Bartley ,Sam and the rest of the family.Although I have never met any of the younger generation i.e Bartleys children etc I hope one day to change this.So hope to talk to you all soon and a Happy New Year.

Lovely to meet you welshlass. What a shame you lost touch with Bartley.....he liked Wales I know. Well in fact Bartley loved to travel & any chance, he was off! I nevr meet Sam, but know that Sam was very dear to Bartleys heart & he never really got over him dying like he did! He o9ften talked about his pride in his brother! Bartley son Shaun & his daughter Marie, still live in Uttoxeter. Though we kept contact with Shaun, this has petered out this last year or so. But thats how it is sometimes with certain relationships. I know we will see him again. We hav`ent seen Marie since the funeral...& I think there has been some bitter disputes here & there since bartley died....sometimes grief does this. There was another daughter who appeared in the last few years of Bartleys life, claiming to be his kin, but this lead to awful divisions....lets hope that time heals 7 what was important was the Bartley Gorman was a singular & amazing man...bigger than life itself...this type of things is what legends are made of!
